Sorry this does not have pictures of Kaylee's first birthday. For some reason my blog will not allow me to upload any more pictures.Above is a picture from tonight of Kaylee on her new princess potty. My mom was telling me about someone she knows who has had all the children she watches potty trained by 18 months so I thought it's never to early to start introducing the potty plus it's a fun toy too. Don't get me wrong I definitely do not plan on forcing the potty issue or even addressing it until I think Kaylee is ready. There is no sense in rushing although it sure would save a lot of money!!! But anyway... Kaylee had fun pushing/covering the sensor spots inside the potty that play music when covered. She also liked putting the back of her "thrown" up and down.

Here is Kaylee at Halloween at our place. She picked out a Twix for herself and sucked on the wrapper.

These pictures were taken with Josh's cell phone since our camera has died. Believe it or not the picture above looked worse than this before I tried to fix it (I just couldn't find a way to get rid of the goth look without totally washing us out). This is as good as I could get it! We were lady bugs. We even had matching make up- little polka dots by our eyes and bright red lip gloss. It's hard to see Kaylee's lip gloss because I was unable to put on a whole bunch since she kept trying to eat the applicator. Haha!
Below: I felt bad that Kaylee bug and I had cutie bug costumes and Josh didn't have a bug costume so I decided to make him his own mini bug costume. I made him brown antennas to wear. He was a stinkbug!!! I don't know about everyone else but we have soooo many of these bugs hanging out at our house. They are so tricky too because they just hide and wait right by your door and then they fly inside and dive bomb your head. They are crazy! They are everywhere and I think they are trying to become domesticated pets or something. They constantly are trying to get indoors.
Josh made a good stink bug!!!

Once again we didn't get many kids at our door but at least we knew a few more this year. We have recently gotten some new kids in the neighborhood that we have befriended. One day I even jumped rope with them. That was fun... well maybe just funny! Haha! Anyway... They are Kaylee's and Jordan's friends more so than Josh and mine although I wish they would invite me to go out and play with them more. I always wished to live in a developement when I was little so that I could go out and play with other kids. I even had a specific developement that I wanted to live in when I was growing up. The Deer Lane developement. haha.
Anyway... so we had a good time sitting outside with our neighbor's boyfriend talking about goofy stuff and telling funny stories about Halloween. Here was mine:
I grew up like way out in the boons and nobody ever came up our long drive way for Halloween. Like our driveway was so long we actually referred to it as a "lane".
So anyway... we never got trick-or-treat-ers and therefore had no need to purchase candy for the holiday. Buuuut... this one year some brave little kid decided to hike up our very unlit lane to seek a treat and boooooy did that kid ever get a treat... more like a trick actually.
Growing up we NEVER had cookies in the house unless it was a holiday and we definitely never had candy (I used to suck on these coughdrop things called "Chips" like they were candy though...anyone know what those are???)...sooo this poor kid came to our door and we were scrambling trying to find anything we could, to give to the little fellow. Fortunately, dad was on this dried fruit kick and so we quick bagged some up for him. Haha!!! If I do recall we laughed pretty good about that one. DRIED FRUIT. Poor kid!!! I am pretty sure he never returned.
I think I do remember one time though when there was another brave little guy who came and all we could find that year was an apple. I don't even think it was all that great of an apple. It was probably one of those ones that you put down in the crisper drawer and kind of forget about and then when you actually remember it and go to take a bite all you taste is the fridge taste. I hate when that happens. I'm not a fan of the crisper drawer. I think it should be called the mushy drawer because everything I put in there gets mushy not crispy.
So anyway... what was your favorite Halloween costume of all time???
I think I would have to go with mine from two years ago. I was Corrella Davil (sp?). I enjoyed the makeup, crazy eyebrows and wig. No costume is complete without a fun wig. So my favorite part is when I was at this cotume party we all decided to go and rent a movie. The movie place just so happened to be next to the pet store where we got Jordan. So we went in there and I asked the manager if he had any dalmations. They had a good laugh. It was fun.
Okay... I should head to bed. Soon we will have a new president. Yaaaaay! No more political commercials. Thank goodness for DVR though... at least I can fastforward through some of them. Also, if you think of it please say an extra awesome prayer for Josh's job situation. He might be finding out tomorrow about a job in Lancaster. We will let you know how it goes either way!!! Pray, pray, pray!!!
Kaylee's bday pictures will be coming as soon as I can find out what I did wrong that I cannot upload anymore pictures... I have more Halloween ones from when we went down to Katie and Matt's to trick-or-treat with Kenny. It was his first time trick-or-treating this year! Fun times!
Talk to you all soon...

Cute pics Kendy! I know there's something on the blog screen that tells you how much room you have left--did you possibly fill up your quota? (I know you like to post a lot of pics!) I think it also has a place to increase your size--look around.
Oh, your costumes were so cute. I was a lady bug when I was little too! It's funny that you made Josh a stink bug! :)
I was surprised that this year, we really didn't have many trick-or-treaters either. I thought for sure that when we moved into a development, we'd get a lot, but only like 7 or 8 maybe.
cute ladybugs! kaylee (and you, you goth ladybug you) looked adorable!
funny story about the poor kid(s) who got dried fruit and an apple!
Loved the story about the poor kid with the bagged up dried fruit.... The other day at work we were sharing bad Halloween stories and I told someone about yours. They had a pretty funny one too... when he was a bachelor years ago and lived in an apartment, he didnt think he'd get any trick or treaters... turns out they got a lot! So, they gave out frozen hamburgers in ziplock bags. When they ran out, they gave out coat hangers!! Too funny!
Glad you had a fun Halloween. Kaylee is so stinking adorable, I cant stand it!
