Here is our crazy update since before Thanksgiving. Basically this is a photo album with some captions!
Above: Josh's good friend from back home, Candace, and her fiance Brian came out to visit us the other weekend and we had a great time eating some awesome chocolate peanut butter cup pie and getting to know each other better. It was a great time and we hope to visit with them again soon.

I finally got the idea to put some of Kaylee's bow clips on her ponies to make them stand out more so here she is. I just love that I can pull her hair up now. It is really coming in now! I just wish it wasn't so mohawky looking! Hehe! Perfect for a pony though!

Above is Kaylee and her new friend... Josh and I asked mom and dad Kovalik to keep Jordan for a month while we try to sell our home. It just makes it easier with people coming to view our home. We would hate to have to put Jordan in a tiny cage all day and I feel like I would be turned off if there was a pet in the house I was looking at to buy. Soooo... as most of you know Jordan is like the love of her life. Seriously she tries to kiss him on the mouth all the time and loves to cuddle with him.
Soooo... Kaylee has been having night terrors since Jordan left. I am convinced that Jordan leaving is the reason for the rough nights. They started right after he left.
Sooo... the other night we were blowing some time at Target (just Kaylee and I) while someone was touring our home. I decided to take Kaylee to the toy isle to look at the baby dolls. In the same isle Kaylee found a dog that came in a bag and she walked right up to it and said, "Awww, awww, awww" in her sweet voice. She really liked the dog and it was the only one of that kind. So, we left and went home and then I realized that I had to get this dog for her.
So Josh and I went to Target the other morning while Kaylee was at my moms and I had to find that dog. When I went into the isle there was a grandma there holding that one dog that Kaylee had liked. I wispered to Josh, as the lady stood there still looking like she wasn't sure what she wanted, "We have to stay and see if she puts it back. That's the dog!"
Well, the lady didn't put it back.
So we left and I begged and begged like a child for Josh to stop at the other Target to see if they had the one. He didn't but a day later I went to the other Target and there it was. The dog she loved. Butttt... the hair wasn't as nice as the one the grandma got away with.
Sooo... after standing there for forever-and-a-year deciding I saw this other cutie dog that I fell in love with and knowing how alike Kaylee and I are, I thought she would love this dog too. But it didn't come in a carrying bag so I had to buy that and of course she needed a shirt just like Jordan wears so I got a shirt for her that says "Glamorous" Haha! This reminded me of when we were on the way to the hospital to have Kaylee. I just kept singing the whole way (becuase I was just so so excited) "G-L-A-M... O-R-O-U-S" that Fergie song. I remember saying that that could be Kaylee's song.
So, basically the shirt was perfect. Below is Kaylee Rolling around on the floor with her new friend.

So here is Kaylee's dog. I think we might have another Nolan. Kaylee is not able to function now without this dog. She has started wanting to take this dog everywhere. She didn't even want to put it down to put on her coat today. She did not want to leave it at home she wanted to hold it the whole way to school today and the whole way home. Luckily when I was getting her out of the car she didn't notice that she was no longer holding it.
When we got home the first thing she did was walk into the kitchen with her dog, take down the dishtowels, cover her dog, said "Night, night" and then started to pat her dog. Hehe! She loves to cover things with blankets or towels and then pat them (including her pacifier).
ANYWAY!!!! I need your help. This girly dog needs a name! I'm thinking something like Mitsy or Lily or Lulu or Daisy... What name do you think would fit this little dog? I need your ideas! It does not have to be one of the above names... just something cute.

Above: One of Kaylee's new favorite words is "wow". She laughs when we say that word and "bubbles". She loves to say "oh" and "wow" right now though.
Below is our tree. I cut it fresh at Target. Haha... sike... it's a fakey one. I wanted to get Kaylee a tree of her own for her room anyway so this will become hers once we get another home. I want to surprise her and her siblings with a special present under their own trees in thier rooms on Christmas Eve in the future. Anyway... back to our fakey tree-We didn't want to set up a huge real one because of the mess and becuase of it taking up too much space in our house for when people come through. We are trying to make our home look as spacious as possible.

Below Kaylee is putting on a Christmas ball... well more like playing with it... uh-oh... hold on... I'll be back... a night terror is in progress!
I'm back. That was the easiest one so far. Maybe she is getting better. Does anyone know why kids have these? Could it be that there are a ton of transitions for her right now? I keep saying that I need to research these but just haven't yet. Maybe tonight. Has anyone dealt with these before? I would love your advice.

Above: I just love Kaylee's cheesy smile. It is a total Josh smile!
Below: This is my side of the family's pic that we got done a couple of weeks ago. I just randomly decided to take a picture of the picture and post it for all to see.

Here come the Thanksgiving pictures. Everything is all out of order but ohwell. kaylee was zonked after playing with her cousin Audrey and family. I thought this was cute!

Aunt Katie, Uncle Kenny and Aunt Karie were making scary monster noises which made Kaylee laugh and make silly noises back.

We did a photo shoot outside with Kaylee. I just loved her outfit and I had to take pictures of her in it. We haven't done nice pictures of her in a while.

Below: We were laughing so hard. My cousin Chelsea was taking the pictures here while Kenny and my other cousin Brittany picked up leaves and threw them in the air to look like they were flying past. I don't know who had the idea but we couldn't stop laughing at how silly it was to have leaves thrown at us. Most of the pictures are of me just laughing with my mouth wide open.

Kaylee with three of her favorite items. She has started kicking balls around the house and her teachers told me that she was dribbling a foam block around the room the other day. She makes her soccer playing mommy and daddy very proud. Also, there is the remote that you can only see a little of. Lastly, there is a shoe. She loves to help Josh with his shoes when he gets home from work and she loves trying to put on my shoes and anyone else's that are lying around. She is going to be a shoe girl. Some girls are purse girls or jewelry girls...this girl is a total shoe girl!

Above is what I was talking about. Kaylee loves to open mouth kiss her Jordy and he loves to kiss her back. It is nausiating to me but she loves this. Yuk!

Grammy and granddad came to visit the weekend after Thanksgiving and Kaylee enjoyed grammy's song: "OOh-ee-ooh-ah-ah Ting-tang Walla Walla Bing Bang".
Now this is the only thing that can get Kaylee to settle down. I just sing it and she stops mid cry to watch me sing. The other night Kaylee was having such a hard time with a night terror and I didn't know what to do to get her to sleep and so then I just started to sing the song and she finally would cuddle up to me and she just fell right asleep. It was amazing. Like night and day. Thank you Grammy!

Thanksgiving Eve we decided to take Kaylee to Chocolate World since I got out of work early. This is her on the ride she was standing up and wasn't sure if she should sit or not. I think she was a bit nervous.

Our family on the yummy ride. I love this ride!!!
Below: Later we went and saw Santa's reighdeer in the park.

Kaylee loved walking around the inside of Chocolate world. The pictures on the floor were fun for her to watch as she walked around.

I love the picture above. I kept trying to put this clip in Kaylee' s hair and for some reason she just was not in the mood for a hair clip. I love her face. Hilariously cute!
It is super late and I should get to bed. I would love your name ideas for Kaylee's new dog and any help for night terrors.
I will let Josh blog someday about his job but for now just to let you know-he loves it so so much and the people are great. He really enjoys working with them. They seem to be very like minded being that they all are creative marketing people. Now we just need to find me my dream job (staying home with Kaylee and other future babies).

Great pics Kendy! I love seeing some of Alex's old PJ's getting some use! Alex has had a few of what I can only guess are night terrors--the few times it has happened it was when she was out of her element, but usually it just seems to need to run its course until she either snaps out of it (she is usually asleep during it so you can't get through to her by talking to her) or just falls back asleep. The first few times was very scary because she was almost in a hysterical trance and nothing would phase her (Renee can vouch for the one that happened at my mom's--nothing worked to soothe her!), but then it ended as quickly as it started. Very strange! I hope Kaylee's pass quickly. We're looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks!
love the pics! and i just love kaylee's thanksgiving day outfit - totally cute. i like those curly ribbons, i have to get some of those :)
yes, i remember alex's night terror!! i'm not sure if this is what you're experiencing, but apparently night terrors are when they are just screaming crying and they don't even know it. you can't talk to them or hug them or do anything that works - i think they just snap out of it eventually, like Jenn said. I read this in one of my books, and it can be caused from a lot of changes (traveling, moving, getting rid of a pacifier...) - apparently something you can do for them, is to get them out of the room when it's uncontrollable; change location to a brightly lit room.
can't wait to see you guys!!
oh, and jon and josh can match oh so stylishly in their blazers (Jon has a tan one)!
...and mia has the same boots in pink :)
Hey Kendy!! I love all the photos. I know I always say it, but I cant get over how stinkin cute Kaylee is. Also, love the story of you trying to buy Kaylee's dog.. I hate it when you go to the store specifically for 1 thing and when you get there someone is holding the last one - ahh! Glad you found it though.. as for a name, nothing is coming to me right now. Out of the ones you suggested, Mitsy would be cute for her little pooch! I'll let you know if I think of any!! Have a great Christmas and good luck with your house!
Wow. If I had known Josh was taking my picture I would have sat up streight & smiled!! Haha. I love the pictures!! I like Daisy for the dog name!! So cute!! Oh & I'm almost positive "super nanny" has a book out about night time & determining if it is night terrors. I'll have to double check that!!
I love Kaylee's Thanksgiving outfit...she's totally adorable!! I think Lola is a good doggy name. A family friend had night terrors, only his started when he was a little older. He used to get them when he'd get really sick or really stressed. He would walk around when he got them and it was totally scary cause he'd look pretty normal, but he'd be kinda glazed over...creepy! His mom used to just hold him and pray with him and sing I think. Hope she grows out of it soon!
Jacob had nightmares for a while. It had a lot to do with too much change. But is was change that seemed to get them to stop. Once he was in his new big boy room the nightmares were gone until Haley was born. Then my mom helped me with having him to things to make him feel safe. He made signs for his room to keep the scary man out and we pray every night and he sleeps with Dan's shirt ( that one I don't know why but he asks for one every time he sleeps so we give him one ). Hopefully they will end soon. We were lucky that Jacob was able to tell us what the dream was so we could try to help him. Also I just got Haley a doll that is called a bonding doll. It's supposed to hold familiar scents ( like mine ) to help her feel like I'm always near. We got a bunny one for her. She can't sleep with it until she's a little older but I thought the idea was good. It's hard to find in the US because most are in canada, but I found a site out of VT that sells them. Anyway. I hope that her nightmares are over soon.
(Sorry, I totally posted this on the wrong post a few minutes ago haha}
Hey!! Good to hear from you again. I think the Jordan/Kaylee story is so darn cute. I love the stuffed puppy.
I also LOVE her outfit for her Thanksgiving photo shoot. How precious!
Is the sale of your house going well???
Hope you're enjoying the Christmas season!!
Hey!! I had a question for you--how do you get the blogs you read to say underneath them how long ago they've updated? I wanted to do that and can't figure it out! Thanks!
