Soooo... the other day I was looking in the mirror real quick on my drive into work to make sure I didn't have anything in my teeth or nose or looked goofy and I realized... I have the same haircut as Michael Jackson. Ugg! Why!?! AND his eyebrows are so much better than mine. Seriously... google image him!
Maybe I could move to Vegas and do a Michael Jackson show "HEEE heeee!" Haha!
Anyway...
Here are pictures from the last several weeks.... Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I love taking pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. And sharing them with friends and family! If you have followed my blog you would know that by now since each post is like several scrolls long-mostly pictures of Kaylee Maelee!!! It takes most multiple days to read my posts. I will not be upset if you skip the words and just look at the pics. Some times that is all I have time for when looking at other's blogs. I just love the pics!
Now you see me...
Now you don't...
Kay loved playing in the door today. She was yelling for Josh to look at her. I was watching at the time and she really wanted Josh to look so she kept yelling "Daddy". She is getting better at calling him his name "daddy" rather than "Josh" like she had been doing. It was cute but "daddy" is cuter!
We went to the Easter Egg Hunt at my work on Saturday. Kay didn't open any of her eggs until she found "the one". It's like she knew it or something. Maybe she has X-ray vision because she only opened the one egg that had the prize ticket in it (and then kept opening them after that so maybe not). She won this awesome set of side walk chalk. We will have lots of fun with this at our new home. Yaaay!
Oh... this is a funny story... so our neighbor was trying to sell his house and the cute neighbor girls on the other side of us were doing sidewalk chalk all up and down the sidewalk and apparently the neighbor selling his house got upset and was yelling at our neighbors. Josh said... "We should draw a chalk outline on his sidewalk" (like you know one from a crime scene) and our other neighbor had some good ideas too (some very crazy). Anyway... the neighbor selling was just not very nice so we had a good laugh thinking up of things to draw with sidewalk chalk. Can you come up with something funny?
Above is Kay being scared of the Easter Bunny part 2. She was okay for a short time but got so nervous here when the bunny (my friend Brittanee) tried to pick her up. Below: Kay adding some eggs to her collection. OH... don't forget my pics are always backwards!
Kaylee's eggs were filled with some gummies, stickers, tattoos and a few pieces of chocolate. It was soooo cold and terribly windy. I am pretty sure Kay would have been knocked down by the wind had we been outside. They had children 2 and under in this large room with a ton of eggs and all the other kids were outside. Good Idea!
Below is the beginning of the hunt. Kay did not want to be held. She was ready to go. She walked right over to the door and looked in at all of the colorful eggs. Next to her is her old teacher Ms. Sade (said "Sha-day"). Kaylee loved her when she went to school there. When Kay went to school there I was convinced that she thought Sade was her mama and not me. A lot of times at the end of the day she wouldn't want to come to me.
Above: Kay giving high fives to the Easter Bunny right before she got real nervous. If you look closely she is holding in her bottom lip nervously!
Above: I thought Tyra Banks would be proud of this shot. It's her runway walk. She is soooo "fieeeerce"! ("Smile with your eyes. Smile with your eyes Kaylee")
Below: She was having fun walking around with her basket. I just love how she is holding her basket with her hand under her chin so cutely. This Easter basket is so awesome. It's from Kay's Grandma Z. Longerburger. Several parents commented on it.
Below is Kaylee the other night. This is what I came home to. She had gotten her shirt dirty so Josh took it off and let her walk around in just her leggings and boots (and of course the pretty little flower Aunt Nay Nay made for her) She was so cute pulling her little dog. She loved being half naked! Funny child!
Okay so below is the end of our visit the other day at Katie and Matts to celebrate his success this year with his bball team that he coaches. There was a tornado coming through and we got the hail. It was so big. That is the white stuff.
Awesome view from the front porch. It was crazy seeing the difference between the bright sky to the left and then this dark sky pictured! A tornado did touch down in a township fairly close by but we did not actually get the tornado.
Calm before the storm:
Kaylee loved this BIG ball! I think she looks a little like Mia in this picture (large flower in hair included) I love to dress Kaylee crazy! this outfit is like total handme-downs from her cousin Alexandra. Thanks for the cool clothes Al!
Above: Kay kissing her daddy through the deck. She kept moving down one section at a time trying t0 kiss him through each opening.
Below: Kay dumped out all her snacks for her and Audrey and filled up the cups and drank her snacks. It was a mess but worth it to see these two cuties play with this sweet tea set.
We went for a walk to see the "friendly horses" as Katie and Audrey call them. They are on the outskirts of their development. It was hilarious because it was this huge mass of people walking down the street (see below). All the nieghbors were out because it was a gorgeous day. There were dogs everywhere which Kay and Audrey loved to see. Kay was saying "Woof Woof" quietly. On the way back we saw these cute little neighbor girls making a house out of a Guitar Hero Box for their new pet bunnies. They even had a mini pack and play for them to play in. The girls were nice enough to let the girls pet them. I was a little nervous because Kaylee loves to poke the eyes of animals right now.
Below I was trying to capture Kaylee's reaction to the horses. I can't wait to take her to the farm to see the horse and cows now that she is older. I will have to take some pics.
My dad took her the other night to help feed the calves. He said that she was quiet the whole time until the cows started mooing then she started to moo too! haha! Wish I was there! So below is her reaction... just checking them out. I was holding her so it was hard to get a good pic but somehow I liked this one.
Kaylee with the big purple flower. I keep trying to find new ways to fix up her hair. She has a ton of hair on the top but not really around the sides so much.I just made some butterfly clips today for Kayzlee's hair for Easter. I can't wait. I used some old lace I found and butterflies I cut off of hairbands. Stay tuned for those pics! I can't wait cause I got a dress to match Kayz.
Kaylee has been calling her grandpa Z "pa-pa" said- "paw paw". She loves to call people by their names and now knows "Kenny", "Papa", "Matt" and several others! She does so well repeating words when asked to. She likes to say "yellow" "purple" and "red". She knows most animal sounds and thanks to pa-pa she knows where milk comes from on a cow... exactly.
She is good at matching shapes even if they are different colors (Grammy K worked on this with her!). Today she organized her hair clips by color. So funny to see. She hold the clip by each pile of colors and if it's wrong she says, "no.... no....no..." Then she finds the right one and places it on the pile. She is a total book worm. She enjoys learning and probably will be a smarty like her daddy!
She amazes us everyday with the things she picks up. I can't even remember them all. She is just so intellegent! Hard to believe she came from me! Although I was always a very curious kid. I used to take apart things and then try to fix them and put them back together again. I probably could have been a mechanic. I always liked to know how things worked.
Kaylee is such a tease. she likes to walk around with Jordan's bone and tease him with it. The other day I had her give Jordan his treat as always and she just ran away with it. She then put her hand on her hip with the treat in it and with her head tilted walked around real tricky with it. Then when I started to walk toward her telling her to give it she quick raised it up above her head and chucked it at Jordan real hard throwing it to the ground. She still thinks she needs to feed him and assist him with everything. She follows him around the house bugging him and trying to help him. She yells at him a lot too. Probably because she sees her mommy correcting him all the time.
Here is Kay with her BF Aidan. They had a great time playing together. They kept going down the slide head first into Kaylee's BIG, soft, fluffy dog (we just call him BIG dog) and Kaylee was laughing the whole time.
Before we came home to play we went out to eat. Kaylee wanted some lemon so I gave her some. Below is one of the many pictures I took of her tasting it. It was soooo cute! Aidan then wanted to try one and just stuck his tongue out real cute. Today when we went to Denny's for lunch Kaylee saw the lemon in my water and wanted it so bad.

Right now we are just enjoying life with Kaylee and laughing it up. We recently went on a date to see Jesus Christ Super Star where our cousin-in-law, Kendrix, was the under-study for Judas. He was not playing Judas that night but played one of the main apostles. He was awesome. He actually really stuck out to us. He danced awesome and really got into the part.
It was very interesting to see Ted Neeley, the original Jesus from the 70's movie/musical play Jesus. It was wild sounding and definitely different than anything I heard before but so cool. I like immitating the voice of Jesus from the show. It's so.....interesting. We got to talk with Kendrix for a little and it was great to hear about his experiences.
Sooo...
Work is wild as always. Even more so these days with people going to the union over trivial things. Thank goodness for not being a part of that drama! Yaaay!
Josh is LOVING his job. He has definitely found what he wants to do. His boss and coworkers are great and he just loves the work. He has really worked hard on several different projects and has done some upselling which is soooo awesome! I am very proud of the hard work he is doing! He's a good man! Such a smarty!
So separate thought... the other day I was leaving Target and hopped on my cart and rode it to the car. On my way out, there was a woman who laughed and smiled real big at me. I just realized that I want to be that woman that rides her cart to the car when she is a old grandma. AND not because I am on one of those wheelchairs with the baskets on the front. I just never want to get so old that I can't act silly and have fun like this. It is just too fun to not ride your cart.
Also... yesterday when I was doing my makeup in the morning I was listening to an 80's song while I was doing my make-up. I just pictured myself being in the intro to a movie. I feel like I have seen movies that start like this where you just see the girl putting on her makeup to a good ole 80's tune and then suddenly it pans out and the music fades and you hear someone yell "Come on Kendy... You're going to be late..." Then the music comes back in and the girl runs down the stares kind of skipping with her bag on her shoulder wearing something that doesn't quite match but yet it does and it looks cool... anyway... I do this all the time. I love thinking up these crazy stories...
Sometimes I listen to a song and I can envision the moves that someone on So You Think You Can Dance would do and then I show Josh the moves. I am sure I look silly but I have so much fun doing it. Sometimes instead of the dance moves I think up what a good music video would be for the song.
Anyway... all this to say that I don't want to ever get too old or too stuffy to not be silly and imaginative. When I grew up we went outside and played like crazy and made up stories and then when we got too tired we would come in and watch TV then and only then. We never stayed in and played video games or watched TV. If it was too hot to be outside we would sit and make up different games to play with Uno cards or I would go downstairs and set up half of the Ping Pong table and play, pretending I had a partner. Or I would ride my bike in the basement and pretend to run errands like getting gas and stuff. I miss those days and I just hope and pray that I can always come up with fun and imaginative things. That is what I enjoy about my job. Being silly and coming up with crazy things to pretend with.
This is also one of my favorite things about my sisters because I know they aren't afraid to be silly and imaginative too. My sister Karie and I recently bonded over telling stories back and forth about the silly things we did in college. It was a good time and really cool because we both thought that if we weren't sisters and went to the same college we would proabably be friends. I think that is the ultimate compliment from your sister!
What do you like to do that is silly?
Well... I better hit the hay!
Good Nights and Silly Days to you all!

Ok first of all...your hair does not look like Michael Jackson's. hahaha...it is so cute, so that is not a possibility! And second...Kaylee is such a cheese for the camera, I love it. She is so cute!!! The Easter egg hunt looked like so much fun! :) And the sidewalk chalk looks like a blast too, so fun that she won it!
