Update on Kay-dogg

So I haven't written in a long time... thought I would update you all on Bird. Kaylee is now six months! It's so hard to believe that she is half a year old! Crazy! I took in cookies and ice cream cake to her teachers and the teachers in my room to celebrate!

Kaylee has been reaching for EVERYTHING in sight and a few weeks ago she discovered that we have a dog! Her new best friend is Jordan. She follows him everywhere with her eyes, almost flipping out of my arms at times to try to see him and she loves to grab at him. There are some pictures below of her petting him. It looks like I am holding her arm out but in fact she is holding her arm out and I'm just holding on to it to pull it back a little. Haha!

Kaylee has just started food. Yesterday, at lunch, was her first meal. I messed up at first as you will see in these pictures and gave her two foods. I really wanted to start her on veggies first since they say that if you give fruit first they will only want the sweets but she needed some prunes, if you know what I mean, so I gave her both. Dumb idea... I think I will just start out with one food since she could be more susceptible to food allergies due to her eczema. Her skin however is looking much better! yaaay! Thank you Triple Paste Cream! I still need to write that letter and see if I can get a deal being a spokesperson! Hehe!

Kaylee still has yet to roll over from back to belly but gets so close. She actually slept on her side yesterday for her nap and slept for a good almost 2 hours. For some babies this is normal but recently Kaylee has not been napping very long. Little stinker!

I am concerned about a few things with Kaylee, mostly that she will be like me! Haha! I was what some might call a "difficult child". I was a little stinker when I was real young then I was a bully in elementary school, then I was boy crazy in middle school and just plain crazy in high school. So Kaylee is showing a little more of her personality these days and it worries me. I was hoping that since Josh was such a wonderful child that with our genes combined we would have an even keeled one but I'm not so sure.
My trainer at work was in Kaylee's room last week and she said that Kaylee was sitting in the circle (this little circle thing that helps them sit up on their own) and one of the teachers put all sorts of toys on and around Kaylee for her to play with. Well, my trainer stood back and watched as Kaylee methodically took each toy and put it out of the circle, out of her reach and then once this was accomplished she started to cry so that a caregiver would come to her. She hates to be alone. She wants someone to be beside her even if she isn't paying any attention to them she just wants someone there with her. This is all too familiar! I am totally the same way. I would rather be doing nothing with someone than nothing alone. Unless I'm shopping. I have no problem doing that alone! haha! So we will have to see how she ends up... Maybe the Kendyness will wear off and she will have more of Joshness in her! Let's pray for that!

Anyway... so below are pictures from the past month or so... enjoy!

Grandma feeding Kaylee her Rice Cereal.
Grandpa Zeager and Kaylee looking for deer off our back porch. Look at those noggins! They could be twins!
Thought this one was cute!
Me and Kaylee waiting for the Metro to take us to the zoo! Her first train ride!!!
Josh and Kaylee waiting for the Metro. Kaylee loving on her friend Lola the poodle!
Kaylee and Me watching little monkey like things run around.
I know it's blurry but I love this picture.
Kaylee and Joshypie
Grandpa Zeager would be so proud. She's checking out the foliage.
Kaylee and Josh being attacked by the Giant Bee.
Kaylee and Me getting excited about seeing the farm animals!
Grammy came to visit on her way to WV so Kaylee got some good Grammy bonding time while we were away at small group. Here she is interacting with her new BF. Haha
This is one cool 6 month old. Here she is on her birthday! This is now Kaylee's 4th pair of sunglasses. They are actually meant for toddlers but I just feel in love with them and had to get them for her!
"G-L-A-M -O-R- O-U-S"
Aunt Renee would be so proud! One of Kaylee's new things that I forgot to write about above is putting her legs straight up in the air. Whether she is sitting of laying down she will just put her legs straight up in the air sometimes even pointing her toes. We may have a future ballerina here!
Kaylee crying because this is only her first time wearing this 6 month size outfit and it's already too small! Daddy wouldn't let her wear it out in public. True story.

Kaylee with her sweet potatoes and prunes.
Her first reaction to the prunes.
Her first reaction to the sweet potatoes.Haha!
Kaylee watching Jordan's every move.
Never thought in a million years that I would allow a dog to lick Kaylee but she loved it. I washed her immediately after though!
Awww! Jordy being gentle with Kaylee.
Seriously right after she got done playing with Jordan she was so so tired and conked out on my shoulder. She just started doing this again, actually sleeping on our shoulder. I love it. Although her head is so big that it barely fits on my little shoulder.
Kaylee loved her flower sandals from Christine.
Big eyes!
