I am not going to act like I know everything about everything when it comes to politics, however I know what I believe.
I believe that life begins at conception. I believe that abortion is murder. I believe that it IS the governments job to make sure that nobody murders. I believe that to allow people to abort a child freely is to allow someone to murder. I believe that it is not telling a woman what to do with her body but telling her what to do with another person's body. An innocent babies body. I believe that if a candidate says that the first thing they will do in office as President is to sign a bill allowing people to murder babies as they wish then someone has their priorities pretty messed up.
I understand that there are horrible things that happen to good people and that causes a very tough decision for a person but I do believe that through prayer and faith in God a person can definitely get through such times.
I watched this video and while I am sure there are parts of these conversations missing I was still upset by it and that is why I posted it. I usually don't enjoy discussing politics because people can get rude about it. I appreciate everyone's comments on this issue although I did not intend for this to be a political debate that is why I did not say anything other than that abortion upsets me and I get a bad feeling about Obama. These are my beliefs and feelings and you are certainly entitled to your own.
I know that it WOULD be "short-sighted" to base a vote on one issue and I don't believe I said that I was voting on a specific candidate, based on one issue, at any point. I will make my decision based on what I have heard from each candidate and what I believe. With the exception of one debate this year (which I was listening to here and there while blogging) I have watched the debates and I have tried to keep myself in the loop of what is going on. For those of you who know me you are probably shocked but I truly have been listening. I don't understand it all and get really sick of it quite often but I try.
So anyway... enough of that...
All I know is that this country needs a lot of prayer and whoever wins is going to really need our prayers too.
p.s. Kaylee's bday pictures are coming. I have been lazy with the blogging! Haha!
A fun, last-day-of-school activity!

Amen, sister! ;)
Hey girl. It's your blog. Say whatever you want!!
Thanks for your thoughts Kendy!! You know what's crazy - the vast majority of Americans actually agree on the terribleness (is that a word?) of abortion - prolifers and choicers. I wish we could use that as common ground to come together and find the best solution to lowering them. If Reading Rainbow taught me it's that cooperation - makes it happen! We could learn a lot from Reading Rainbow! :)
