A Little Break

As most of you know, Josh got a new job in Lancaster with Godfrey Advertising (we are so excited about this) and since it is in Lancaster which is probably a little over an hour away we must move from our beloved home.
Thursday night our Realtor, Paul, who just so happens to be the nephew of my father-in-law's college roommate, Frank (haha did you follow that?)... anyway... he came over to check out our house and talk about what we should do and when and all that.

Josh and I had thought about it and thought that we should probably wait until after the holidays. We figured that "nobody is looking for a house during the holidays". But Paul advised us to get it on the market ASAP and that there are always people like us that need to move and that are looking. People are especially looking at townhouses these days.

Soooo... since he said that he would like to take pictures this Tuesday and then put it on the market Saturday, we are quickly trying to prepare our house for this. I just got done taking out all unnecessary things from our kitchen cabinets and boxing them up (21 distributor boxes later-we have run out of tape and are low on boxes... I hope when we are moving in that our neighbors don't think we are alcoholics with all the boxes from the state store). Also, I have cleared most stuff off of the counter tops to make it look nice and clean! This makes me feel so good doing this. We have so much more to get done though. We have a toilet to do a little tune up on, some baseboards to be fixed (where Jordan chewed... I painted over them and they look great until you look a little closer... I don't want that to turn someone away!) Oh my goodness... you aren't going to believe this but I just looked to my right to see what Jordan was doing because I heard him sniffing a lot and he was sniffing the baseboards... right where I had painted the other night. Bad dog! Haha!

Anway... we have to do all the stuff they tell you to do on those home selling shows like:

-Take down all personal pictures and items
-Declutter (which I have wanted to do for some time now but I just haven't had the time... now I have no choice but to MAKE the time)
-Take out half+ clothing from our closets
-Get rid of unnecessary furniture (where I will go with this stuff??? Not sure!)
-Steam the carpets
-STAGE! (I wish I had like a thousand dollars just to throw around and decorate this place up real nice. I guess it's all about placement and simplicity though!)
-Clean and keep clean... that will be the hard part... keeping it that way. Josh is totally on board but I think he is a little worried about me. I am the queen of making piles of things that need to go to different rooms and then never taking them to those rooms or just leaving my clothes that I tried on and then decided not to wear lying EVERYWHERE in the morning... and maybe for the next day or two... Maybe this will start a new positive habit for me-cleaning up after myself. I think maybe I rebel when I get home because that is what I do alllll day long, clean up after 14 children.

ANYWAY... I wish we had a camera so I could take pictures of our house before and after but our camera is DEAD... dead as a doornail! Josh ordered a new camera for us and it should be coming soon, however... I think we will probably end up going with a cheaper model! He went a little overboard on the features of the camera!

Soooo... in the meantime if you all could be praying for good timing with our house being sold that would be wonderful! We would probably be living with family in Elizabethtown between houses but hopefully God will provide in just the right timing... I am sure it will be His timing and therefore it will be the "right" timing... I just can't wait to see what happens and where we are led to! Yay! Crazy fun times!

Oh and my work is crazy too... my coworker and I had to report another coworker for child abuse! It's really ugly and I have already told my boss that I will find another job if they allow that caregiver to work there after all the information we have given them. I don't want to work somewhere that allows that type of treatment of children. Even if she if found innocent, from all the reporting that has been done about her in the past (from many other caregivers there) and now this, they should not allow her to work in childcare. They have every right to fire her. Also, my friend asked her lawyer about it and apparently in the state of PA you do not have to have an exact reason to fire someone. You can just say "It's not working out" and then fire them. It is not the right job for her OBVIOUSLY and she needs to find something else! I have been interviewed several times. My story has not changed I keep telling them EVERYTHING I know and have seen but a decision has not been made yet so pray hardcore! At least pray for the children who could be hurt by this person if she continues to work in childcare.

Now... back to work for me... I took way to long writing this!
Updates to come and perhaps some pictures too!

Hey!! Good to hear from you again. I think the Jordan/Kaylee story is so darn cute. I love the stuffed puppy.

I also LOVE her outfit for her Thanksgiving photo shoot. How precious!

Is the sale of your house going well???

Hope you're enjoying the Christmas season!!
