Here she is... Miss Kaylee Mae! Kaylee will be 2 months this Tuesday (the 18th). So we will be going to the doctors for her 2 month appointment that morning. We are so very excited to see how much she has grown since last time we were at the doctors. For those that don't know when you have those appointments they give you the percentiles for the weight, height and head circumference to give you an idea if they are too big, too little or average.
Last time we were there which was when she was just a week old she was in the 20%'s for the head size and weight but her height was in the 75 percentile. Seeing as I am just 5'1'' on a good day, I have been giving Kaylee pep-talks telling her not to get too tall or we can't share clothes... haha!!! I keep saying, "Just think, a double wardrobe!" Haha! I am kidding of course (well, sort of... haha).
We are having so much fun with Kaylee and she seems to be getting smarter every day. Just last Friday I had put her down in her crib for bed like usual. And like always 3 or so hours later she cried for food. So I went over and to my surprise Kaylee had turned 90 degrees from where she had first been laid. I freaked cause I had been very sleepy that evening and thought that maybe I had put her in that way. But then we found out the next night that she has learned to move herself around in bed. I don't know how because she has been swaddled up like a mummy but somehow without free arms or legs she made a full 90 degree turn in her crib. Crazy!
Tonight for the first time that I have seen Kaylee has twisted her body when lying down and almost turned over. She just needed that extra push. I was quite impressed. Other accomplishments so far are finding her thumb to suck on (yikes!), smiling and responding to our faces and voices, sleeping 8 hours (I freaked at this thinking something was wrong with her so I woke her up to make sure she was okay despite the old wives tale-"never wake a sleeping baby") cooing, and burping louder than her mommy (now that takes talent! haha). I am sure I am forgetting things. I still have a case of pregnant/mommy brain loss on top of my usual forgetfulness but I am sure I will write more for you all to read about.
I am not as good of a writer as Josh plus I have the whole Pennsylvania Dutch thing (where you mix up all kinds of words and stuff) going for me, my punctuation is completely off, I never proofread and I don't capitalize when I should and I do this: "..." a lot. Sooo sorry in advance for the horrible grammar!
I will make sure to write next week for you all to read about Kaylee's appointment. Also, maybe I will take some time to tell you what I have been up to. It's mostly about Kaylee but there are some other little things that I am doing on my own.
Until then...

love the picture of Kaylee :)
Kaylee is so cute! You both look very happy. I'm glad to see things are going well. Check out my blog anytime for updates on us. Life has been crazy ( both bad and good ). Talk to you soon.
SO GLAD i found a link to your blog through Jenn's site... I'm eager to watch cute Kaylee grow (I have a package for you for her that I still haven't mailed... hopefully you'll get it before she turns one)! Davey is now 5 months and my only bit of advice (since I'm a new mama, too), is this: write it all down 'cuz you sure won't remember it. Well, that and to take LOTS and LOTS of photos and enjoy every moment (even the crying and frustrating ones) because they really do grow up way too fast! love and miss you guys! - Tamara (Sarapata) Dunkin
